Services

At Light & Language Interpreting, we believe that language is more than communication—it’s connection. Our services are rooted in a commitment to compassion, integrity, and excellence, and guided by a desire to reflect Christ’s love in every interaction. Whether you’re seeking interpreting, advocacy, mentorship, or educational support, our work is centered on breaking down barriers, building bridges, and empowering lives.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
— Colossians 3:23 (NIV)

💬 American Sign Language Interpreting — $55/hour
We provide professional ASL interpreting services in a wide variety of settings including:

Educational environments (K-12, college/university)

Medical appointments and healthcare facilities

Religious services and faith-based events

Community meetings and civic engagements

Theatrical, performance, or artistic spaces

Workplace meetings, training, and onboarding

Every interpreting assignment is approached with cultural sensitivity, confidentiality, and a commitment to excellence. Our goal is not just to interpret words, but to foster understanding and connection between Deaf and hearing individuals. Whether the environment is formal or informal, we tailor our services to meet the needs of each unique situation.

🛡️ Advocacy — Always Free
Advocacy is at the heart of what we do. We provide pro-bono support to ensure that Deaf individuals are not only heard—but honored and empowered.
Services include:

Supporting self-advocacy through education and coaching

Making phone calls on behalf of Deaf clients for essential services

Accompanying clients in person to ensure communication access

Educating hearing individuals and institutions about Deaf culture, rights, and accessibility laws

We believe that access is a right, not a privilege. By offering advocacy free of charge, we hope to break down barriers and create a world where inclusion is the standard—not the exception.
